FRANCE SUMMER '16

This summer I traveled around Europe with my sorority sister in a group of 46 amazing people who after just a few days became my Contiki family. It was a tour by Contiki (a travel agency) called European Contrasts Plus Corfu - high energy: 29 days in Europe, 12 countries, and 44 new friends. I'm really glad i said yes to go with Shannon on this adventure and I will always remember this fantastic trip - even though I have "Dory memory"...

1st part of the trip: We started in London (last post) and continued to Paris before we stayed at a château in the beautiful French countryside, close to Lyon. In London and Paris we went sightseeing to see the most important places and attractions in the two cities - I finally got to the top of the Eiffel Tower: 3rd time's the charm! At the château we had a picnic (we were supposed to go with a group and follow the map to get to a lookout point, but we lost the group and got lost so we went to a super cute restaurant and had lunch there while the others where climbing the hill in the pouring rain - it was great! There we asked for directions and found our way to the top - now it was almost sunny and actually really nice so I'm glad we got lost! We also went to a wine tasting and had a Contiki party at the château in the Cave (basement..). Last stop in France was the French riviera, which is one of my favorite places in Europe! Besides from some raindrops and soggy French baguette, we had an amazing start to the trip!
